In the Classic and Oxford challenges:
Traders have a Maximum Daily Drawdown limit of 5% of their starting account balance. That means on any given day, traders are allowed to lose up to 5% of their initial account balance. For example, if you begin with a $100,000 account, you are permitted a daily loss up to $5,000, which is 5%. A violation of the Maximum Daily Drawdown rule occurs if your total loss (including both open and closed trade positions) exceeds $5,000 at any time during the day.
In the Wall Street challenge:
The Maximum Daily Drawdown limit is set at 3% of your initial account balance. So, with a $100,000 starting balance, a daily loss exceeding $3,000 would constitute a breach of the Maximum Daily Drawdown rule.
